Stock

Know what’s in stock, down to the last metre.

General stock systems count items. Flooring is not a count: it is lengths, widths, dye lots and part rolls. FloorLogik tracks each one properly, so you can check availability without walking out to the racking, and use what you already own before ordering more.

25.50 m

left on the roll, recalculated after every cut.

DL45

the dye lot, carried through to the job it went on.

4.80 m²

the offcut, kept as stock and offered on later quotes.

06:00

stock checked against the ledger every night.

The record

Every roll tracked on its own.

Every roll is its own record, because every roll is physically different from the next one off the same order.

WHAT A ROLL IS

A measurement, not a quantity

A width in millimetres, a remaining length in metres, and the square metres those two give you. Recalculated after every cut rather than adjusted by hand.

DYE LOTS

Dye lots that have to match

Two rolls of one product from different batches are visibly different laid side by side. Each lot carries its own colour through the whole system, so you see the difference instead of comparing digits.

OFFCUTS

Offcuts are still stock

Record the cut, keep the remainder as findable stock, and stop re-ordering material that is already in the building.

PACKS AND SQUARE METRES

Packs and square metres agree

A pack batch knows its coverage, so "how many packs" and "how many square metres" are the same answer rather than two numbers that slowly disagree.

THE MOVEMENT LEDGER

A movement ledger, and a reconciliation that runs without being asked

Every change is a signed movement with a reason - opening figure, goods received, dispatch, return - and stock arriving by any route records its own arrival, so the ledger has no holes. At six every morning the shelf is checked against the ledger and against itself: square metres against pack count, negative figures, cancelled orders still holding stock, dispatched orders with no movements. It tells somebody rather than waiting to be read.

Dispatch

Stock moves when the goods move.

Not when the order is confirmed, and not when somebody remembers to adjust it afterwards.

Pick

One click sends the warehouse a pick note.

  • PDF, in the shop's own name
  • Address checked against real DNS
  • Sent, not queued and forgotten

Draw down

Oldest batch first, in the unit the order was placed in.

  • Packs come off as packs
  • Rolls come off as metres
  • Square metres kept in step

Put back

Cancel an order and the stock returns to the batches it came off.

  • The exact batches, not a total
  • Told what came back
  • Recorded as a movement

Receive

Purchase orders land straight onto rolls and batches.

  • Costs prefilled from the product
  • Lead times tracked
  • Dye lot captured on arrival

Getting started

Your stock in, from the spreadsheet you already keep.

Bring your rolls and pack batches in from whatever you keep them in now, without retyping the lot.

STEP ONE

Take the template

Rolls and pack batches each have one, with the right headings and example rows.

STEP TWO

Or send yours

CSV or Excel, columns in any order. We match them up for you.

STEP THREE

Check, then import

Reviewed against a preview of your own rows. Anything that does not fit is reported line by line.
